How to define your ideal customer avatar – even when your customers have nothing in common

You’ve heard the advice that you’ve got to define your ideal customer avatar if you want to write compelling copy. But what do you do if you could work with literally anyone?

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of my customers struggling with defining their ideal customer. You could work with men and women, young people or senior citizens and it really doesn’t matter what magazines your customers read or what they ate for breakfast. Sound familiar?

As this issue keeps coming up, this morning I decided to record a quick, spontaneous video outlining my 5-step process for defining your ideal customer  – even when you think your customers have nothing in common.

To help make this 5-step process super easy, I’ve also created a FREE worksheet to help you find common ground between your most diverse customers. It’s part of my Write from the Heart Collection – a treasury of free writing resources to help you get clear on your message, write from the heart, grow your tribe and make an impact.   Click here to get your password.

As for that video, I recorded it this morning when the kids were just getting out of bed – so yes, it’s a little rough and ready, but some days that’s how I gotta roll.

Enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments
