When is a sales call not a sales call?
Over the last few days I’ve had several wonderful conversations with women who are digging deep, carving their own paths serving with heart.
We talked about our challenges, the evolution of our work and the lessons we have learned.
We talked about where they are heading, what they want to bring to the world and what’s holding them back from sharing it large.
We’ve talked about the ideas they are incubating. The ebooks, workshops, videos and new service offerings just waiting to be birthed, if only they could wrap their words around them.
These conversations were warm and nourishing, full of ahas and nods of recognition and the reciprocal sharing of ideas and book recommendations. Whether the conversations ultimately lead to purchases almost felt beside the point. In each case, we left the conversation richer.
Selling doesn’t have to be about mass email sequences and sales pages and clicks and conversions. Yes, those things can be very important. No, it’s not always possible to speak to each customer individually, if you want to sell with scale.
But it is possible to bring soul into your sales and marketing. To infuse your live videos, your social media posts, your newsletters with that beautiful energy of service and intention. To connect to the heart of your work and offer it to another who needs that very thing.
