So you’ve got a new product or service to launch.
You spend hours planning it out, trying to get deep into your customer’s pain points and figure out the benefits of your product. You stay up late crafting the perfect sales copy. You mess around with Facebook ads, write a few blogs, create an email sequence…
Before you know it a month has gone by and you still haven’t gotten around to launching that product or service. At the beginning you knew the idea was genius, but now all that hesitation and stress has you wavering.
What if you’re just over-complicating this whole launch thing?
What if there was a simpler way to launch a new product and call in your right customers?
If the search for the perfect words is getting in the way of taking your product or service to market, I want you to take out your journal and pen right now and answer the following questions. No overthinking, just shoot from the gut.
Choose one favourite client and describe:
- What is going on for her right now? What is she struggling with and where does she most need your help?
- How is this problem showing up in her life or work? Describe how she feels, or how it is holding her back.
- What would her life or business look like if this problem was sorted? How would she feel, what would she do, be or have?
- What is the one thing she needs to hear from you right now? What will inspire her to take action?
Go ahead and do it now. I’ll wait.
Your next challenge is to call In more clients just like her. Speak directly to that struggle and invite her to work with you. Easy right?
Too often, we entrepreneurs over-complicate things to our own detriment. We let coming up with the perfect words or the perfect copy, hold us back from taking our ideas to the world. And when the money doesn’t roll in, we spend hours pouring over that sales funnel, trying to find the flaws.
This time, I want you to take a different approach. Now that you’ve connected with your customer’s desires, go out and offer it to her from the heart.
Switch on Facebook live, and talk directly to other women who are struggling with that same issue. Describe how she’s feeling, what she’s struggling with and what it’s costing her. Describe the end result, or what you will help her achieve. Invite her to hop on the phone and talk to you about it, or try your new product.
Simple. No complicated ad sequences, landing pages or autoresponders. Just heart-to-heart connection.
When you take the time to connect with the core of your work, to understand what your customer really needs from you right now and offer it to her from the heart, everything falls into alignment. You’ll find that your work is much more engaging and it’s easier to promote and sell your products. You’re also building that relationship with your customer that will help them get to know, like and trust you.
And when you’re done, get your video transcribed (I use Rev.com) and pay attention to the words and phrases you use when you speak from the heart. Bring those words and phrases into any copy that you write to support your offer – like your follow up email sequence, or a PDF fact sheet outlining all the details.
